Joining In our Programmes

We offer around 300 different community based social, leisure and learning opportunities each year.

We welcome anyone, with any disability, who is over 18 years of age in Norfolk.

Here is how you can join in.

Here are a few things you need to know before registering:

  • We do not provide any form of personal care, such as helping going to the toilet, washing, dressing or feeding.
  • We do not provide any form of medication, or support to administer it
  • We do not require a formal referral from a Social Worker or other care related professional.

If you need any of this type of support, you are welcome to bring that with you when you join in our opportunities programme, just tick that box on the Registration Form so we know to add an extra space when booking you in.

  • We provide you with a new opportunities programme every three months, sent to your home address, with booking forms, so that you can check out all the information you need to make an informed choice about what to get involved in, when and how much it will cost.
  • We provide a minimum of 2 staff, or volunteers, on every programme opportunity offered to help everyone taking part to feel safe, help with reading menus, instructions, crossing roads etc
  • We ask you to tell us if there are any specific issues you want us to know about, and share with our support teams, to make sure we can give you the appropriate level of support. This might include issues with mobility, seizures or visual impairments.
  • We will share your contact details, and that of someone you would want us to contact if you were unwell on a programme opportunity, only with those supporting the activity.

If you are happy with all of that, please complete and return the BUILD Membership Registration Form to us.

Our Programmes

  • We normally publish a programme in advance covering a period of three months at a time. You can join in as few, or as many, activities as you like (subject to availability). The programme tells you what is happening, where, when, how much it will cost and when the closing date for bookings is.
  • The cost of joining in our programme will depend on whether you are part of our Gold or Basic Membership Scheme details of which can be found in our Member section.
  • You can download a copy of our most up to date programme below

If you cancel less than 48 hours before the activity start time, your Administration Fee will not be refunded. Credit notes must be redeemed within 12 months of issue.
  • If you do not turn up, or cancel less than 48 hours before the activity start time you will be charged an additional £5 Cancellation Fee.
  • Where you have paid in advance for a ticket, or transport, and cancel at any time after we have purchased your ticket you will be responsible for the full cost unless we are able to sell your place to someone else. Where that ticket can be sold on, you will receive a full refund.
